overindulgence of fun

So this past week has been crazy fun. so much has been going on and it has definitely kept me on my toes. WARNING: this is gonna be a longer post. ye be warned
Thursday night hannah came to visit for the weekend. It is always fun to have her here and to get to hang out with my little seester. But the reason she came down was not really for me. We set her up on a double date. Ryan works with a guy named ryan ( confusing, right?) so Hannah came down for the double date We went to a crepe place for dinner and i will admit, I was dubious. Crepes for dinner? why? I was craving a big juicy hamburger and the guys planned on going to crepes?! masculine. But it turned out to be delicious.. I am converted.. I cant remember what it is called. it might simply be called CREPES, but it is hte place with the huge owl in front of it. anyways.. i digress. After we went miniature golfing. Hannah and Ryan proceeded to cheat and play the games of their lives.. they won. I have never seen two people be so lucky in miniature golf. they deserved to win.

As we were having fun playing miniature golf and eating delicious crepes, Melissa Glodowski was giving birth to a gorgeous baby boy. so on saturday we woke up and headed over to the hospital. And my goodness! that baby is absolutely positively the cutest baby. Ryan was so kind to immediately let my mother know that I was going off my birth control.. not true. was i tempted after seeing that gorgeous little baby? yes. Anyways... Back to baby. We hung out for about an hour and fell in love with Ryker Gary Glodowski.
i mean look at the adorableness!
We just couldnt get enough of him and I cannot wait to watch this little cutie grow up. If he is anything like ashton, he will be an awesome kid.

The rest of the weekend was Just in-n-out, church, the office, dropping hannah off in slc and hanging at melissas house with family on sunday night.

Then today came.. and I STARTED MY PRACTICUM! I will admit, I was not worried about being in the classroom. Children dont scare me. But teachers do. I was nervous about who my teacher would be, if she would be helpful to me, if she would trust me, if I would like her teaching methods, if i would learn alot, if i could be organized and not go crazy, if i can do all the workload on top of being in the school.. ect. so i woke up this morning at 530, too nervous to sleep in. I tried on at least 5 different outfits, trying to decide which would make the best "first impression". ridiculous. Then drove to the school, almost dying three times on the way. hello utah drivers. ( BTW i wasnt driving so dont blame me) We got there and were very professional and took pictures in the front

These are the awesome ladies who are in the schools with me. We are in different classrooms but I just love them. they are awesome. And my teacher is great! It was so fun. She is so energetic and loving toward her students. She is also awesome for me. She is so helpful and willing to work with me. I am so relieved. Most of my worries have dissipated and I couldnt be more happy. the children are so funny. I am in a first grade class and they are so eager to learn and get the approval of the teacher. I have already been given a teaching assignment. i will be teaching on sequencing this thursday or friday. eeek. I am so excited to learn and grow. I want to be a good teacher and I know that being in the schools and gaining the experience is the best way to becoming the best i can be. It is exhausting being in the schools though. I wake up at 6 leave the house by 7 and am in the school from 815-245 and then i still have classes at BYU after with hw and lesson plans to create. Needless to say, as much as I love being in the schools, this next month is going to be crazy! I look forward to the adventures and challenges it will bring. But for now this is the end of my blogging. I have hw and tests to study for and lesson plans to make.
Adios blogging world.

i felt like dying.

So I have been not feeling good lately, but decided it was time to stop using that as an excuse and went running with my hubby. I pushed myself while ryan jogged lightly next to me. haha i guess it is ok since he is planning on running a sprint triathlon at the beginning of November. Im so proud of him =)

Anyway... We went running and I was running my hardest. We ended and i was like "Yes! we went at least 3 miles.." Ryan mapped the run.. turns out we only ran 2.16. haha ouch. but I guess that is a good start. Pinterest has gotten me motivated to do better, go farther, and run more. haha got to love pinterest.

But on a side note.. Made lasagna tonight and it was the BOMB! I am actually enjoying cooking now a days. awesome. got to love running and then sitting down and scarfing down lasagna. just a typical tuesday. well, that is all for tonight.

This week is super stressful. Im working 16 hours and have 3 tests to take. oh joy. but melissa (my sister-in-law) is having her baby boy this week! prolly friday! i am so excited to meet the baby!!!!!! and hannah is coming to visit this weekend. double date! it should be way fun. I am looking forward to this weekend. just got to make it there.. let the countdown begin

I want a puppy

This weekend has been very fun and relaxing. I have not been feeling very good this weekend and yet Ryan has helped to make it a great weekend.
On Friday we went color me mine. I love that place. It not only brings back the awesome memories of 'Paint pals" and painting on rocks as a kid, but it is so fun to just hang out with Ryan painting and talking. It was even more fun going because of how we decided to go. He put 10 options in a hat. Then we played bear lady man ( rock paper scissors) and whoever (whomever?) lost had to pick out of the date hat and that date was disqualified. I dominated. out of the 7 times we played, i won 6 times. hahaha. then played egyptian ratscrew twice. each winning once. so the date left in the hat was Color me mine and i was stoked because Ryan broke my last color me mine project. so much fun!

Saturday we went to the temple with Jesse and Brittney. It was so refreshing to go to the temple. Then we went to Applebees. YUM. Then we browsed through T.J. Maxx. Found some hilarious things and then parted ways. Ryan and I came home and watched Fools Gold. Makes me miss the ocean. Beach is calling my name!!!!!!

On a very random note... I would like a puppy. my birthday is coming up (November 1st) and if any of you have an adorable puppy just laying around, feel free to give it to me =) I would prefer it to be a girl dog. haha

just random me

Finding Nemo. Sometimes our plans only take us so far and then we are left sitting there thinking "Now what?" Never let yourself get discouraged or be left thinking "Now What?" instead look for something new, look for a different solution to keep yourself moving and growing.

Oh how I already miss the sun and the beauty of summer. Its going to be one long winter.

Im a lifeguard. It's the perfect job for your typical people watcher.

Never allow yourself to feel unworthy of reaching your full potential.

weekend blast

So our lives are so busy and crazy during the week, that weekends are the only time we really have to just relax and hang out. This weekend was full of fun and friends. I absolutely love spending time with Ryan. he always makes me laugh and we have so much fun together.  Weekends have become my favorite time of the week. there is nothing better than spending time with my man =)
We went to the BYU Hockey game on friday night with the Eichelbergers, the Hyders and the soon to be Stowells and Travis. It was fun to watch our friend Tim Hope play, even if they lost. But on a side note,  You know it is cold outside when the ice arena feels warm. Then the boys played broom ball for about an hour. it was hilarious to see them floppin' all over the ice.

My baker boy made cookies. Delicious! and like a good wife, I was there to help him clean the utensils and make sure his dough tasted good. He passed the Safford taste test.

We then helped jesse eichelberger celebrate his birthday by going to Tocanos. YUM! It was fun to hang out with our friends and eat delicious food.

It was BYU homecoming this week so Mr. Ford was nice enough to give us his seats. Awesome! It was a great game. Took about 20 minutes for me to feel my toes once we got home but it was definitely worth it. Ryan made a few friends that night with the old folks around us. It was hilarious.

And finally, it was Jesse's birthday this sunday. So we went over for game night. Hung out with the Eichelbergers, Hyders, Stowells and carrolls. We played mad gab and catchphrase. Always entertaining.

And now we are back to the week; working, classes and random videos. Never know the dangers of riding. Ryan needs to watch out...

conference weekend.

So this weekend has been awesome. So many things have gone on that have left both me and Ryan completely exhausted but it was totally worth it.
 1. My seester came! it was so fun to be able to see her. Hannah drove down from Idaho with her friends and then decided to just stay with us for the weekend. AWESOME!
2. So we went up to the Ford cabin and got to test out the new Rhino. It was super fun, even though i didnt bring goggles. We even got in trouble with the locals. I feel accomplished.
3. While the Boys went to conference, the girls ( Momma ford, Melissa, hannah and I) and ashton drove around and got random supplies. We all ended up at Granny's in Heber. It was pretty delicious.

4. This morning we woke up bright and early to drive down to attend conference. we went without any tickets so Hannah and I stood on a corner begging for tickets while my awesome husband stood by, like a pimp, to make sure we got the job done =) But we scored getting ten tickets. We gave 5 to the Conley's, 2 were for other sessions (lame) and then the last 3 were plaza tickets. front and center 17 rows up from the prophet of the lord. It was incredible and such a good session. So many good lessons.

I am so grateful for this gospel and for the amazing people in my life. This weekend was such a good reminder of all the blessing in my life. Go Conference weekend!
