So here is a sappy lovey-dovey post. This weekend, we got to go watch ashton give his first talk in sacrament. It was the primary program and it was so cute to see him get up there and say his line. But the part that really touched me was when the primary stood up and sang "I love to see the temple." As they were singing, I thought back to when I was in primary and would sing that song with the hope of going there. Everytime I sang it, I would get so excited about being able to enter into that heavenly place with the man of my dreams. Then i looked to my right and saw Mr. Ryan Ford and I had a confirmation that he is the one for me. Going to the temple with him and being sealed for all time and eternity was a dream come true. He is absolutely amazing and i am so blessed to have him in my life. the spirit was so overwhelming as I sat there listening to those sweet spirits sing their hearts out, knowing that I had accomplished one of my greatest goals in life. Now on to children! ;)

So this is Alex, and this is mine and Ryan's "just got married so we decided to make a blog" blog =) Anyways. We got married on August 20th so exactly 22 days 7 hours and 51 minutes since we were sealed for time and all eternity. And I can honestly say it has been the best 22 days of my life. There is nothing I love more than coming home to Ryan and knowing that I get to spend the rest of my life with him. He makes me so incredibly happy and being with him has been such an adventure.
Some of our adventures thus far:
Cruise to the bahamas.. we narrowly avoided Irene.
driving to Utah from California in separate cars. set
Moving into our apartment
IKEA- multiple times.
Buying a 42' LG tv. thats niiiicccceeeee
having my mom, sister and grandmother stay with us in our tiny little apartment
prison break
movies movies movies
hut hut hike!
hiking the Y for the first time.
playing monopoly ( my first tim ever!) ryan dominated me.. so not cool.
and many many more.
All I can say is, I am glad I married my best friend.
and here is a little something from ryan...
Soooo.. this is Ryan. Alex and I decided that we needed to do this blog because a lot of our family and friends have one too. We just thought it would be a cool way to keep people posted with our lives. Hopefully we keep it updated and you can all see how much fun we are having as a newly married couple!!!
Alex basically filled you in on all of the fun stuff we've been up to. With school and work, we are both super busy these days. Luckily we have saturdays off of work and school to spend together. So last night Alex and I went up and Hiked the "Y" for our first time. We packed a dinner of egg-salad sandwiches, potato chips, and pretzels, with sparkling cider to eat at the "Y". The hike is actually a lot more difficult than you'd probably imagine (we are both a little out of shape though). But we did it... even with Alex's broken pinky toe! She is a trooper! So here are a couple pics from our adventure last night. It was a fun date for sure!
